Nuntergobber
Introduction
Nuntergobber is the most common drug in
the political world of Hymené. It is also one of the most easily addictive. It
is the true original Markarigan Drug, grown from the middle parts of Mako, in
Féne. It is made from a golden insect called the Coyna Moth which are found nesting and feeding from a plant called Nuntere. The word ‘coyna’ means ‘gold’
in the Markarigan language. The Moth is caught or shot down, collected, and
then grinded into golden dust. The dust is called Coyna. It can be neat as it is, or it can be turned into Nuntergobber by adding common chemicals
which turn it into a liquid that release other effects that regular Coyna does
not achieve on its own. Nuntergobber is very addictive, while Coyna is not at
all. However, Nuntergobber is chosen over Coyna simply for the fact that it is
easier to control the dose, and is no where near as dangerous. Coyna, also
known as Néte Coyna (Markarigan for
‘pure’), is very dangerous on long term damage and far too lethal for first
time users. Coyna can only be tolerated by people who already have a high
tolerance to Nuntergobber, and that tolerance is the addiction.
Addictive
Nuntergobber starts out as just a drug,
but will more often than not become the meaning of your life. It is so
addictive that it is incredibly difficult to stop. The longer you are on it,
and the more you take, the more addicted you will become until it is very
uncomfortable, almost too uncomfortable to come off.
Effects
The Nuntergobber drug innitially slows
down time. It warms you in a blanket of yellow fog while enhancing your vision
range so that you can see pretty much everything around you. By slowing down
time, it slows down the clock, the packets sent, the missiles, everything. It
completely changes the speed of which the game runs. If you don’t take much,
this isn’t very noticable, but the more you take the more you will realise
everything has completely slowed down.
If you take too much, the vision will
be enhanced so greatly that the whole world will turn inside-out and
upsidedown. The only way to put it back is to either wait for it to unwind and
wear off, or to take more so that it goes upsidedown again so that it’s right
again. Of course, the deeper you go, the more you’ll have to unwind in the long
run. If you’re an addict, it won’t matter to you, as long as you get your hit
in time.
As soon as you inject Nuntergobber, the
vision quickly stretches out. This is called the ‘woosh’. The fog soon comes
in, while the slow-down effects are instantaneous. If you overdose, you’ll know
it as soon as you inject it.
As the drug wears off, so do the
symptoms. The visual effects wear off quickly - first the woosh, then perhaps
the fog, and so do the slow effects. The drug itself however, takes a good few minutes
to wear off, or more if you’re an addict (it never wears off if you keep it in
your system).
The most useful thing of Nuntergobber
is that it keeps your stamina level completely infinite. You can run as long as
you want without ever needing to walk and recharge. This is very usefull in
combat and travelling.
As soon as the Nuntergobber completely
leaves your system, the withdrawal symptoms will soon kick in. The only way to
stop the symptoms is by taking another hit. Nuntergobber numbs practically all nasty symptoms of nearly all drugs.
It’s a very mellow and smooth drug, but beware of the responsibility required
if you intend to take it regularly.
Withdrawal
Symptoms
If you do not take the dose needed to
get you through the day, you will experience very harsh withdrawal symptoms
when the nuntergobber leaves your system. Withdrawal symptoms may seem
tolerable at first, but as time goes on, you will notice that it becomes
unbearable. The symptoms included servere shaking, dizziness, twitching, head
spinning, falling over, and lack of control.
The scientifical reason the symptoms
take place is because of the slowing down of time. This is a very intense
ability, and where time is slowed down, it is not allowed to speed up after. So
instead, your whole body goes in a fit of spasms and shaking, until it is
caught up and the time is replaced and recovered. The only way to stop the
shaking is to take more Nuntergobber, but of course it will only make it harder
to come off later.
How to
Use Nuntergobber
To take Nuntergobber, you must inject
it. Everyone has thier own needle of which they must fill and mix as they wish.
A needle is built of ten parts. You must choose how many parts you wish to fill
with nuntergobber. The command to type to do this is /mix nuntergobber 10, where the number is anything from 1-10. You
can also mix water into the needle (where you must first purchase water), which
will alter the affects of the drug. The balance of water and Nuntergobber are
for you to work out. Examples:
/mix
nuntergobber 3
/mix
water 7
/inject
If you are trying the drug for the
first time, you might choose just to try 1 or 2 parts of nuntergobber, without
any water. To inject the needle, simply use /inject. You can empty the needle at any time by using /empty needle. This will of course
waste any valuable chemicals you have put in. There are other drugs that can be
mixed and injected also.
To see what is currently in your
needle, just in case you forget, you can use /look needle. This will just show you whats in the needle with a
quick text diagram with letters to indicate the chemicals.
Purchasing
Nuntergobber
Certain drugs are easier to get from
certain places. Like most drugs, the more you buy, the cheaper you get it. This
is good for both personal uses and dealing to make profits. The prices vary
from cheap, to stupidly expensive. It is up to you to learn the best people and
places to buy Nuntergobber.
The average for a small bag of
nuntergobber, consisting of ten units, is 15
mz. Ten units is enough for a full strong needle, or several weaker
needles, or two or three average needles. The trade price for this amount of
nuntergobber is just 5 mz.
You can also buy Nuntergobber in bulk
amounts if 50 units, 101 units, 202 units, and 404 units. To help you
understand the prices to look for that are good or bad, here is a chart to show
you the average prices to look for for which amounts:
Amount Trade Price Average Price
Bag of
Ten (10 units) 5 15
1/8 ki
(50 units) 25 80
1/4 ki
(101 units) 50 125
1/2 ki
(202 units) 100 200
ki
(404 units) 200 350
A ki is not a kilo. It is a Markarigan
expression for a quantity used by all top drug dealers. The 101, 202 and 404
are easily recognizable figures, and the extra units are thrown in for good
measure. (the 1, 2 and 4).
